Protein Oatmeal “Proats”
Makes: 1 | Prep: 3 min | Cook Time: 2 minutes
INGREDIENTS
½ cup old fashioned oats
1 serving protein powder see notes, flavor of choice
1 tbsp nut butter, I prefer almond butter
½ cup berries
liquid water, milk or milk alternative (I use water)
This Protein Oatmeal “Proats” has been my go-to breakfast meal for years now. It’s simple, delicious, and macro friendly!

Protein Powder – I’ve been using Optimum nutrition gold standard natural for years now, its whey based and has 24g protein per serving. Available flavors are vanilla, chocolate or strawberry.
DIRECTIONS
In a microwave safe bowl add the oats and protein powder. Add just enough liquid to cover the oats and protein powder.
Stir until well combined.
Microwave for 1 minute. Remove from microwave and stir again.
Microwave for an additional 30-60 seconds. Remove from microwave and add nut butter and berries. Enjoy!
