One Pan Chicken Sausage Tomato Orzo

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 chicken sausage links, cut into pieces

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 2 medium zucchinis, diced

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp. pepper

  • ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes

  • 2 cups orzo, dry

  • 15 oz. can diced tomatoes, do not drain

  • 2 cups bone broth

  • 1 cup half & half

  • 1 cup spinach, chopped

  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated

 

This One Pan Chicken Sausage Tomato Orzo is such a cozy meal the entire family will love.

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chicken sausage and cook for about 5 minutes.

  2. Add in onions, zucchini, garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper and red pepper flakes. Sautee veggies for about 3-5 minutes.

  3. Add in dry orzo and stir. Mix in canned tomatoes, bone broth, half & half, and bring to a boil.

  4. Cover with lid, lower heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Remove lid add in chopped spinach and grated parmesan cheese. Give it one good last stir. Serve and enjoy!
