Homemade Chicken Nuggets

Makes: 20 | Prep: 10 min | Cook Time: 16 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ground chicken

  • 1 egg, large

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs, divided into 2, ¼ portions

  • ¼ cup part skim mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • ¼ tsp. pepper

  • 2 tbsp. parmesan cheese

 

These Homemade Chicken Nuggets are a healthier option for a kid-friendly dinner even the adults will love them!

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl combine the ground chicken, egg, ¼ cup breadcrumbs, ¼ cup mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper together.

  2. Form into 20 equal size oval shaped nuggets. In a small bowl add ¼ cup breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

  3. Coat each nugget with the breadcrumb and Parmesan cheese mixture.

  4. Add them to an air fryer basket (make sure they are not touching or stacked) and spray them lightly with cooking spray.

  5. Cook at 400℉ for 6-8 minutes. Flip, lightly spray again with cooking spray and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes.

  6. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce!
