Healthier Apple Crisp

INGREDIENTS
4 cups chopped apples, about 4 medium apples, keep the skin on for extra fiber
3 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup oat flour
3/4 cup quick oats
1/3 cup light brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. water
1/4 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
This Healthier Apple Crisp is perfect for fall.
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl add, apples, 3 tbsp. water, lemon juice, corn starch and cinnamon. Toss everything together. Spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray and add the apple mixture to the pan.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and 2 tbsp. water. Stir until everything is well combined. Fold in chopped pecans. Spread the mixture evenly over the apples.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
