Chocolate Banana Bark

Servings: 16 | Prep: 20 min | Freeze Time: 2 hours 20 min

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 medium bananas

  • 1/2 cup almond butter or peanut butter

  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips

  • 1 tsp. coconut oil

  • Coarse salt (optional)

This Chocolate Banana Bark makes for the perfect after dinner dessert.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.

  2. Slice the bananas into 1/3-inch-thick rounds and arrange them on the lined baking sheet so they touch.

  3. Melt the almond butter in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. This allows it to spread easier. Spread the almond butter evenly over the banana slices.

  4. Freeze for 20 minutes. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in intervals of 30 seconds until smooth and pour over the almond butter layer.

  5. Sprinkle with salt. Freeze again for 2 hours or until firm. Once set, break or cut into pieces and enjoy!
