Creamy Ground Turkey Pasta

Servings: 6 | Prep: 10 min | Cook Time: 20 min

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. ground turkey

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1/2 white onion, diced

  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 red bell peppers, diced

  • 3 cups spinach, chopped

  • 8 oz. protein pasta (dry)

  • 16 oz. marinara sauce

  • 1 cup cottage cheese

  • 1/2-1 tsp. red pepper flakes

  • Salt/pepper, to taste

  • Fresh Basil, chopped

  • Parmesan cheese, optional

This Creamy Ground Turkey Pasta is so creamy and delicious. Best part is, it comes together in less than 30 minutes.

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook pasta according to directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions, pepper and salt. Sauté until fragrant about 3 minutes.

  3. Add in garlic and sauté for another minute. Add in bell peppers and ground turkey. Break apart the ground turkey. Cook until browned.

  4. While the ground turkey is cooking make the sauce. Blend together cottage cheese, marinara sauce, pepper and red pepper flakes.

  5. Add spinach to the ground Turkey and bell pepper mixture. Stir until wilted. Add in the sauce and cooked pasta. Stir until well combined.

  6. Top with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
