The Start of Buffalo Dietitian
In 2015 I started sharing healthy recipes, healthy favorites, my own fitness journey, health tips, motivation and more! In 2017 I decided to officially start Buffalo Dietitian! In addition to blogging, I work one on one with clients to help them improve their relationship with food and their diet.
I’m originally from Buffalo, NY and graduated from D’Youville College with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Dietetics in 2011. Along with being a Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist in the State of New York, I hold a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management with the commission on Dietetic Registration.
I was fortunate enough to gain clinical experience in an acute care setting while living in Florida while working at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport Florida. From 2012-2024 I been worked as an oncology dietitian at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center specializing in Leukemia, Transplant and Cellular Therapy, and Pediatrics. In 2024, I started working for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

Fun Facts About Me
I’m generally a pretty busy person! In addition to working full time at RPCCC as a oncology dietitian, I work one on one with Buffalo Dietitian clients to help them improve their relationship with food and their diet.
I’ve been married to my best friend Dan (AKA Babe) since August 2019. Fun facts about our relationship; we met on an online dating site, Bumble. We built our dream house together in 2018. We both love fitness! Especially triathlons. Lake placid is our favorite place to travel to. We have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks named Daisy and Kona.
Some other fun facts about me; I enjoy, red wine, coffee, peanut butter, traveling, murder mysteries, grocery shopping especially at Aldi and cooking!

Mama
My husband and I have two living children, Theodore and Gabriel. My husband and I are not strangers to pregnancy loss. Our second son Lincoln died just a few days shy of 20 weeks when I went into preterm labor. Followed by two other pregnancy losses; one around 5 weeks and another around 10 weeks. I share our experience with pregnancy loss quite often on my social media platforms to bring awareness and comfort to others who have had similar experiences.

Fitness
Since I can remember fitness has been a part of my life. My interest in sports nutrition is the reason I’m a Registered Dietitian today. During my high school years, I participated in Swimming and track and field. After graduation I went on to row at the University at Buffalo my freshman year (by far the hardest and most demanding sport I have ever done). In 2009, I completed my first full marathon (26.2-mile run). Since then, I’ve completed a total of four full marathons, twenty-three half marathons (13.1-mile run), three Olympic triathlons (0.93-mile swim, 24.8-mile bike, 6.2-mile run), two half Ironmans (1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, 13.1-mile run) and one full Ironman (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, 26.2-mile run). Plus, endless amounts of running events. In addition to endurance events, I enjoy weightlifting and yoga. As a runner and triathlete, I recognize the importance and the link between a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.
